Invest­ment and return

What if you could dri­ve the ener­gy tran­si­tion and grow your mon­ey in sun­light?

You can! With Wat­ti­fy, any­one can invest indi­rect­ly in sus­tain­able ener­gy from €1. Depend­ing on the per­for­mance of your invest­ment, you will receive yield tokens on a pro rata dai­ly basis. These can be paid out 1:1 in euros. And — we pay back your invest­ment and inter­est in full at the end of the min­i­mum term.

Tech­nol­o­gy and impact

Wat­ti­fy allows any­one to invest mon­ey in sus­tain­able ener­gy projects using inno­v­a­tive blockchain tech­nol­o­gy and a decen­tral­ized approach.

Solar pow­er sys­tems are an effi­cient way to com­bat cli­mate change. Each kilo­watt hour of elec­tric­i­ty gen­er­at­ed in Ger­many via PV sys­tems cur­rent­ly avoids 627 grams of car­bon diox­ide. That means a solar park with an installed capac­i­ty of ten megawatts saves around 6,300 tons of green­house gas­es per year. And isn’t it great that you can con­tribute to this?

The Wat­ti­fy plat­form indi­rect­ly enables crowd­in­vest­ing in sus­tain­able ener­gy projects. Issuers and investors come togeth­er to finance and build new solar parks. Once the project is com­plet­ed and oper­a­tional, ener­gy is pro­duced. Thanks to Wat­ti­fy tech­nol­o­gy, each investor receives a pro rata dai­ly dis­tri­b­u­tion of the ener­gy gen­er­at­ed in the form of yield tokens. They can dis­trib­ute these 1:1 in euros. At the end of the respec­tive min­i­mum term, the investors receive their invest­ment (asset tokens) back.

1st phase: Invest­ment
-> Invest­ed sum = stored as asset token

2nd phase: Oper­a­tion
-> Gen­er­a­tion of return for ener­gy pro­duced = stored as return token.
-> Pay­ing out the return on demand = dis­trib­ut­ing the yield token.

3rd phase: com­ple­tion
-> Repay­ment of invest­ed sum = dis­tri­b­u­tion of asset token.

We equip every project on Wat­ti­fy with smart tech­nol­o­gy at start­up. The tech­nol­o­gy allows us to con­tin­u­ous­ly record the ener­gy gen­er­at­ed in a car­bon neu­tral blockchain. This enables a dai­ly return for you and all oth­er investors, depend­ing on the ener­gy gen­er­at­ed on the day — trans­par­ent, decen­tral­ized and secure.
