Here, the best in class in terms of sus­tain­abil­i­ty is fil­tered out from dif­fer­ent indus­tries. Does­n’t that mean that oil com­pa­nies and weapons man­u­fac­tur­ers, for exam­ple, are sud­den­ly also clas­si­fied as sus­tain­able? That’s exact­ly what it means! And because I don’t feel like that, I take my invest­ments into my own hands with Wat­ti­fy.

We cut out mid­dle­men. Your mon­ey goes indi­rect­ly and imme­di­ate­ly into financ­ing the renew­able ener­gy projects you choose. Our pric­ing mod­el is rel­a­tive­ly sim­ple: to cov­er our costs for pro­vid­ing and oper­at­ing the plat­form, we charge a ser­vice fee based on your invest­ment amount. That’s it.

Our world is chang­ing so fast — isn’t the risk far too high?

Bank of Amer­i­ca recent­ly found in a study that high sus­tain­abil­i­ty com­pa­nies had 47% high­er returns than their low sus­tain­abil­i­ty coun­ter­parts, while also hav­ing low­er volatil­i­ty.

Sim­ply put, impact invest­ments can be con­sid­ered safer because the entre­pre­neur­ial projects behind them are our future. How­ev­er, a com­plete loss of the invest­ed assets can­not be ruled out here either, of course.
